Karnataka PSC Veterinary Exam Scam: Police Identify 12 Aspirants Involved

Karnataka police have revealed that 12 candidates paid substantial sums to fraudsters to secure positions as veterinary officers through the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) examination. This development comes as authorities continue their investigation into widespread irregularities in government recruitment processes.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) initially arrested several individuals, including the main accused, Shivakumar, who worked as a first division assistant at KPSC. The investigation found that candidates paid between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 20 lakh for answer scripts. This fraud targeted the recruitment for 250 veterinary officer posts, with the exam conducted in February 2023.
